Companies today have a fine line to walk. Creating products that appeal to the lowest common denominator in terms of use cases (and consumer appeal) is the fundamental foothold upon which innovation stands. Apple has mastered that approach and we need to remember that their steps are conscientiously made.
More than a trend, web application performance, user experience and performance optimization are finally being recognized as the building blocks of successful sites. Google is taking a leading role today in increasing awareness about the role of speed in improving user experience and driving revenue.
